Neither term is a quality grade.
Landrace generally refers to cannabis populations historically associated with long-term adaptation to particular geographic regions.
The word points toward regional plant history.
It does not mean every plant from a region is genetically identical or untouched by human selection.
A hybrid is produced by crossing genetic lines.
Breeders may select plants for characteristics such as:
Decades of breeding have mixed many cannabis lineages.
That helps explain why modern Indica/Sativa/Hybrid labels do not map neatly to three separate genetic groups.
Regional history does not automatically mean:
